EQUINE INSURANCE

Mortality Insurance

Northwest Insurance has several different Standard 'A' rated companies that we write business through, and we strive to fit the best product to your needs. Mortality Insurance for Equine and Livestock is basically a life insurance policy for your animal naming you, the owner, as the beneficiary. The most commonly asked question I receive from clients is "How do I determine my horse's insured value?" The easiest way to determine value of an animal is a cancelled check or bill of sale, but there are other ways such as stud fees, training, and show winnings. Owning a horse can be a significant investment so make sure and protect yourself for a potential tragedy and have that peace of mind!

Major Medical

Major Medical is designed to help you pay for medical expenses incurred by injury but there are different variations of major medical that you need to understand before you make your decision on what kind best suits your needs. There are different limits of insurance, i.e.. $5000 limit, $7500 limit, $10,000 limit, and $15,000 limit. These limits are the maximum amount an insurance company will pay for approved medical expenses. We have companies that offer Major Medical coverage with no co-pays and low deductibles. As always, if there are ever questions about Major Medical coverage, I am only a phone call or email away.
