With a decade of experience in the insurance industry, I've specialized in equine farm and ranch policies. Recently, I've expanded my offerings to include commercial property and business insurance. While many agents steer clear of commercial policies, I find the diversity refreshing. Growing up in a small family business has given me a unique understanding of the specific risks and needs associated with commercial ventures.
Karey grew up in the rolling hills of central Missouri, where she was actively involved in the operations of her family's campground resort. Because of her experience running the family business and interacting with customers of all kinds, customer service has become second nature to her. Along with her duties in helping to run the family business, she was actively involved in helping her father with 250 cow/calf pairs and establishing a world-class Quarter Horse operation. She went on to show many of their home-raised horses to AQHA and NRCHA World Championships.
In 2012, Karey relocated to Colorado and now calls Elbert, Colorado, her home with her family - her husband Tack, her son Riley, and her daughter Rein. Here, they have established Louthan Cowhorses, a successful training business run by Tack and herself.
